beautiful region of Carinthia in the South of Austria. The apartment is
situated in
the
picturesque village of Tropolach at the foot of the Nassfeld Ski Arena.
This large, modern, 3 bedroom end apartment easily sleeps up to 6
people and offers superb views of the valley, open fields and
surrounding mountains.
The Millennium Express Ski Lift is just 5 minutes walk away from the apartment and the village of Tropolach has plenty of amenities which includes a supermarket, petrol station, bank, restaurants and several bars. Also in the village there are two ski and snowboard rental shops for all your ski and snowboard requirements.
The Nassfeld Ski Arena is the largest and most
southern ski resort in Austria
with an excellent snow record. Even with guaranteed snow at Nassfeld
you can still expect plenty of sun during the ski and
snowboarding season, as this is one of the sunniest areas in Austria so
you can be sure of an excellent holiday.
Most people think of Austria as a destination for ski holidays but the province of Carinthia, which is also known as 'The Natural Arena', makes an excellent choice for hiking, climbing, nordic walking, cycling and swimming as well as skiing and snowboarding. There are over 1000km of marked walking trails, 150km of cycling trails and 800km of mountain bike trails and numerous lakes near to the apartment. The Millennium Express Ski Lift is open for the Summer holiday season from June - September and the Winter Ski Season is from December - April. Nassfeld is just a short trip from the Italian and Slovenian border and this makes the apartment a perfect setting for both Summer Activity holidays and Winter Ski holidays.
Nassfeld Ski Arena is one of Austrias top 10 ski resorts but not a very well known resort amongst English skiers yet. Having experienced numerous ski holidays in several different areas of Austria we decided to ski Nassfeld last year and were immediately impressed with what it had to offer. We literally fell in love with Nassfeld and the province of Carinthia, so much so we decided to buy an apartment there.
With plenty of bars and restaurants on the slopes of Nassfeld and a choice of lively apres ski bars there is always somewhere to enjoy a drink at the end of a good day on the slopes. The Ski and Snowboard School offer lessons for all abilities and have plenty of English-speaking tutors.
